HN Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd and Elphick Proome Studio (Pty) Ltd Joint Venture (JV) was appointed by SANRAL to provide Multi Disciplinary Consulting and Construction Monitoring Services for the development of its new Eastern Region Building, including Associated Works, in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

SANRAL’s primary project objective is to develop an iconic, fit-for-purpose, new Eastern Region premises to a corporate specification, that achieves a Green Star Certification (minimum 4-star rating) from the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA). As one of the JV partners, HN is responsible for all the Structural, Civil and Electrical design work as well as project management for the project ECSA Stages 1 to 6 (1. Inception, 2. Concept and Viability, 3.Design Development, 4. Documentation and Procument, 5. Contract Administration and Inspection, 6. Close-Out).
